About this Course
Algebra 1 is a high-school level course that is typically taken in the 9th grade, and it prepares students for more advanced mathematics. In this course, students will be introduced to the concepts of variables, negative numbers and advanced mathematical operations, and use them to write, solve, and graph linear and quadratic equations.
Students should have a strong foundation in basic mathematical operations, and in this class, will develop the analytical and critical-thinking skills needed to model real-life application word problems. The tutor implements “Teaching Textbooks” to teach this course.
